CLIX Q & A
What do I wear???
When choosing an outfit for your photo portrait, we have three words of advice to help guide you: simple, simple & simple. Choose classic colors such as blue denim, khaki, white and black. Knits and soft fabrics photograph very nicely for an informal look, while suits, ties and dress clothes make the photos more formal. Avoid patterns, plaids, logos and fussy collars. We use traditional cloth backdrops in neutral colors for your background.
What types of portrait sessions are there?
Classic
A standard studio appointment that focuses on one individual or group. Choose from color or black & white film. Approximately 24 photos will be taken during your session. A clothing change can be included. The number of poses will vary and appointments usually last between 20 - 40 minutes.
Signature
This is a custom session and can be configured according to the ideas and imagination of the client. Portraits taken include photos of the main group plus a variety of subgroupings (i. e. whole family, dad & kids, kids alone, mom & kids, mom & dad alone) Both color and black & white will be used. Approximately 36 photos are taken during your session and will include a change in backdrops, if desired. Several clothing changes are included if desired by the customer.
Quick CLIX
This is a unique portrait opportunity which, for a special price, includes the studio fee and one or more photos. The appointment dates, price, background, film choice and pickup dates are preset by the photographer. Approximately 3 photos are taken of the subject. The sessions are very quick, closely spaced and not well suited to most young children.
Baby Club
3 separate sittings for the price of 2. These sessions may be used by any child within the family who is three or younger.
Baby Essay
24 b/w photos are taken of a baby under the age of one. Typically, the focus is on the little elements that make this age so special, such as little toes, fingers, etc. 12 prints of your choice and an archival album is included.
Add Parent (for baby & child sittings)
For a small additional charge, we can include parent/s in a maximum of 6 exposures during a children's session.
After the portrait session, what happens next?
For Classic and Signature Series sessions, the customer will be called to set up an appointment to view the proofs in about 10 business days. Quick CLIX will take longer.
During your proof appointment, you will view your proofs and make your selections for reprints. Cropping options, retouching, enhancement and framing needs can be discussed at your appointment. Upon placement of your order, you can expect your finished prints in 3-4 weeks. There are exceptions to this delivery time that include digital retouching and busy seasonal times, which will add more time to your delivery date. At the time you place your order, we require a 50% deposit. The proofs and negatives are the exclusive property of CLIX photographys & savable, inc. We cannot permit our proofs to leave CLIX at any time and we are sorry for the inconvenience.
